AW25 Softball

Competition Rules

Effective October 3, 2026

These are the official rules for the AW25 monthly BOD competitions. They are part of our Terms of Use. The competitions are contests of skill: results depend on how the athlete pitches, not on chance.

1. Sponsor

The competitions are run by Walljasper Athletics LLC, doing business as Allie Walljasper Softball. Apple is not a sponsor of the competitions and is not involved in them in any way.

2. Who can compete

  • Athletes with an AW25 profile that is covered by an active AW25 membership.
  • Each athlete competes in one division per month: 10U, 12U, 14U, High School or College. The division is set by the athlete’s first official attempt that month and stays the same for the month.
  • Athletes under 18 take part with a parent or guardian’s permission.
  • The competitions are open to residents of the United States and are void where prohibited by law.

3. How a month works

  • Each monthly competition has four scored weekly workouts, called BODs, named for the month and week (for example, BOD 10.1 to BOD 10.4).
  • Each BOD opens on a Sunday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time and closes the following Sunday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. The exact times are shown in the app.
  • Each BOD is a 30-pitch workout. The setup for each division, such as distance and targets, is shown in the app.

4. How to enter a score

  • Do the workout as described and log it in the app as an official attempt before the BOD closes. The score is the number of target hits out of 30.
  • An official attempt must be the complete workout, done as written. Modified or incomplete workouts can be logged for your own progress but don’t count as a score.
  • Results are reported by the athlete or their parent and then reviewed by AW25 staff. You may be asked to include a video. A video must show the whole attempt clearly enough to confirm the result.
  • A workout logged after its BOD closes counts as “logged late”: it shows in your monthly progress, but not as a score, on the leaderboard or toward a prize.

5. Verification

  • Only scores verified by AW25 staff count. Videos are normally reviewed in the days after each weekly deadline.
  • Staff may reject a result that can’t be confirmed or that doesn’t follow the workout, and will give a reason. If an athlete has more than one official attempt for a BOD, their best verified score counts.
  • Staff may correct a recorded result when the video or facility record shows a different number.
  • Staff decisions on verification, scoring and eligibility are final.

6. Scoring and standings

  • Weekly. In each division, athletes with a verified score for that BOD are ranked by score, most target hits first. Tied athletes share a placement, and the next placement is skipped (1, 1, 3).
  • Monthly. An athlete’s weekly placements are added up, and the lowest total wins. For each BOD the athlete has no verified score in, they receive the number of athletes ranked in their division that week, plus one.
  • Ties in the monthly standings share a placement.
  • Results are provisional until AW25 staff mark them final in the app.

7. Prizes

  • An athlete qualifies for a month’s prize by having a staff-verified score in all four BODs that month.
  • The prize changes from month to month. Each month’s prize, and any additional awards for top placements, are announced in the app or by AW25 for that month.
  • After results are final, qualifying athletes are notified in the app or by email to the account’s address. A prize that isn’t claimed within 30 days of that notice may be forfeited.
  • Prizes for athletes under 18 are given to a parent or guardian. An athlete aged 13 to 17 with their own account must link a parent or guardian in the app before claiming a prize.
  • Prizes can’t be transferred or exchanged for cash, unless we say otherwise. We may substitute a prize of similar value. Winners are responsible for any taxes on a prize.

8. Fair play

An athlete may be removed from a competition or disqualified, and results may be changed, for:

  • False, altered or misleading scores or videos, or a result that isn’t the athlete’s own.
  • Competing in a division the athlete isn’t eligible for.
  • Breaking the Terms of Use or these rules.

9. Names, results and videos

  • Leaderboards in the app show the athlete’s first name and last initial, division, scores and placements to other AW25 members.
  • Attempt videos are used to verify scores. They are deleted 14 days after that month’s results are final. If you have a question about a result, raise it before then.
  • See the Privacy Policy for how we handle information.

10. Safety

Athletes compete at their own risk. Warm up, follow the workout’s setup, stop if there is pain, and make sure minors are supervised. See the training safety section of the Terms of Use.

11. Changes and cancellation

We may change a BOD’s dates or details, or cancel or shorten a competition, if something outside our control or a technical problem affects it. We’ll post changes in the app. If these rules change, the version in effect when a month’s competition starts applies to that month.
